API Test Script

Testing an AI API is crucial to ensure reliability, accuracy, and consistency in its responses. By running structured tests, we can measure how well the model follows instructions, handles different types of prompts, and produces outputs in the expected format. In our approach, we defined a set of test cases—including strict single-word responses, numeric ranges, and JSON outputs—stored in a JSON file. Each test is automatically sent to multiple models, and the results are evaluated against the expected answers using a Test_Object system. This systematic testing allows us to compare models, detect inconsistencies, and quantify both performance and cost, ensuring that the AI behaves as intended before it is deployed in real applications.
